Noah’s Ark Receives Spay-Neuter Grant

Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association has received $1,000 from the Colorado Animal Rescue Express to help spay and neuter shelter cats and dogs. Their donation provides a $25 subsidy for 40 surgeries. Since it was founded in 2007, C.A.R.E. has helped spay and neuter over 41,000 shelter animals statewide, including previous grants to Noah’s Ark.

Per state regulations, every shelter animal must be spayed and neutered before being adopted. From January-June of this year, Noah’s Ark neutered and spayed 243 shelter cats and dogs. To make their dollars stretch, Noah’s Ark transports dogs to a low-cost, dogs-only clinic in Colorado Springs. The clinic provides services only for state-certified, non-profit shelters.

Neuter and spay–it’s the kindest way to reduce pet overpopulation! If you would like to help, please make a donation to Noah’s Ark designated for “spay/neuter.” Donations can be made by cash, check or credit card at the shelter, 1921 East Main Street or at Noah’s Ark Thrift Store, 147 East Main. Mail checks to Noah’s Ark, P.O. Box 478, Trinidad, CO, 81082, or donate online at www.noahsarktrinidad.org. For more information call, 719-680-2385. Thank you!

Noah’s Ark, a non-profit organization, contributes to Trinidad’s quality of life—for people and animals–by hosting community events, stocking a pet pantry, answering pet care questions, operating a thrift shop, providing volunteer opportunities, and supporting loving companionship between people and pets.
